ASK

Evolve the Neo4j brand and visual design system. We were asked to create a brand design that established Neo4J as leaders in the graph technology space and separated them from competition, while referencing the organic inspiration behind the brand’s concept.

SHAPE LANGUAGE

With creative direction from Kassandra Zuanich and Jessica Bayer, I worked on creative the node shapes that are central to Neo4J’s design system. We played with a variety of thicknesses and arrangements to best represent the connections created through Neo4J’s graph technology.

 
 
 
 
 
 

TYPOGRAPHY

Due to Neo4J’s size and global scale, we were asked to only source Google Fonts for this project, as they could easily be accessed by their team members around the world.

I conducted font research and experimented with different brand assets to see which weights best suited the Neo4J’s needs.

 
 

COLOR

We selected a wide range of colors for the brand’s toolkit, all inspired by the natural world.

I tested primary and secondary color combinations against AA and AAA accessibility standards to create clear color usage guidelines.
